On June 5, 2012, it is likely that Scott Walker will be recalled. His campaign literature is all about the evil outside influences that are working for his defeat. However, it is only the voters of Wisconsin who are eligible to vote in the forthcoming election. They will be contending with all the campaign funds that Scott Walker has raised out-of-state. Here in Utah, I have received several mailed solicitations for funds. I sent him zip. Overwhelmingly the candidate with the most cash wins. At this moment, the contest in Wisconsin is close. The trend, though, is against Scott Walker. We will soon know whether the will of the people is sufficient to defeat all Scott Walker’s cash. His defeat will be a positive sign going forward to November, IMHO.

Another day, another request for donations. I think that you can judge the state of a campaign by the names one candidate uses to label his opposition. In the case of Scott Walker‘s possible recall, he is calling everyone on the Democratic side names even if they have no involvement whatsoever in Wisconsin politics. For example, “Nancy Pelosi‘s blind ambition to reclaim control of Congress next fall.” He reserved his most over-the-top names for unions with this, “vengeful, power-consumed Big Government Union Bosses have put a bull’s eye on my back.” Is he running scared? Yes, I believe he is.

I received a letter today from Scott Walker of Wisconsin the old-fashioned way; it was delivered by a letter carrier, who had not yet been privatized or laid off if the GOP in Congress have their way. Of course he asked for money to combat his recall by the forces of evil, Big unions, President Obama, Moveon.org radicals, George Soros and ultra left elites in Hollywood and Manhattan. He claimed that the demonstrators in Madison, Wisconsin, earlier this year came from parts unknown and then later in the letter he named them, Chicago and Las Vegas. I live close to Las Vegas and I doubt that anyone in their right mind would go to Madison in winter from our mild climate.

I don’t support Scott Walker and I hope that he is recalled. As a friend of the Koch brothers, he can ask them for all the money he needs. I will not send him one cent.
