Faux, false, FOX

Faux, false, FOX–three synonyms all meaning false. Recently FOX News has transformed itself into the Libya News channel in the pursuit of a non-story about the 9-11 attack in Benghazi. I suppose that is because they think that they can garner more votes for Mitt than in any other way. It has been almost four since Barack was inaugurated, and I cannot recall all the charges the GOP have made against this President. However, every one that I can recall has been false, and the Benghazi story is no exception.

Reliable sources

A panelist on FOX News moments ago expressed the question why would President Obama appear on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart rather than on FOX News to discuss the attack in Libya? The simple answer to that is that The Daily Show on Comedy Central is a MORE RELIABLE SOURCE of news than is FOX News.

Uninformed voters

Bill O’Reilly bemoans the fact that millions of voters are uninformed about this election and may vote anyway. I think that it is the duty of citizens to cast only informed votes. That is why I do not vote in races where I lack knowledge, such as contests for school board, judgeships, and propositions that are purely technical in nature. Some on the Right would deny the vote to citizens who the Right deems unqualified, such as the young, the poor, and minorities. A study showed that viewers of FOX News knew less about politics than people who watched no political news at all. That means that viewers of Bill O’Reilly’s show and other FOX News broadcasts should not be allowed to vote.

Meet the Press

Mitt Romney will be the guest on Sunday September 9, 2012. I hope and trust that the questions will be more probing than they are FOX News. This will be Mitt’s first appearance on Meet the Press during 2012. Let’s hope he is ready and that the questioners are persistent in demanding answers, not evasions.

P. S. It is Sunday afternoon now and Mitt didn’t say anything of consequence in response to David Gregory’s questions.

Fallow fellows

Just tried to get some news and I clicked off FOX News in disgust. They were interviewing another fellow (supposed expert) at a conservative think tank. They bear the title of fellows, but they are really former members of government or government wannabes who are paid to wait for a turn in a GOP government. Rather than work in private enterprise, they are members of a paid bullpen, a staff in waiting. Fallow means currently inactive, may be of use in the future. One could say that fellows at conservative think tanks are fallow fellows.
