The Case Against Immigration

The Case Against Immigration, The Moral, Economic, Social, and Environmental Reasons for Reducing U.S. Immigration Back to Traditional Levels by Roy Beck published in 1996. The author does not define traditional levels, but he is clearly against the present levels of legal immigration. Some of the reasons he gives for immigrants not to come to the US are ridiculous. Immigrants should stay home because the US is more dangerous than their home countries and/or they are more likely to be poor in the US than in their home countries. Those are not reasons to deny welcome to immigrants; those are reasons for the US to do better by all its residents, immigrant or not.
