10% per annum

As a retired senior getting about 85% of my retirement income from Social Security, I would like to see monthly benefits raised by 10% annually for the next five years to compensate for the measly or non-existent increases of the recent past. Expenses for seniors (especially food, medications and insurance) have been rising at double-digit rates and each year and each day it is becoming harder and harder to survive. A Robin Hood tax on financial transactions and/or raising the threshold on Social Security taxes would pay for the increased benefits in my opinion.
