“Hard landings”

When an airplane makes a “hard landing,” the event is more commonly referred to as a crash. Recently the military attempted a stealth operation into Yemen to retrieve information about al-Qaeda plans. The operation went astray starting with the “hard landing” of one of the aircraft in the operation , a V-22 Osprey, which has a long history of “hard landings.” No one was killed in the “hard landing,” but several military personnel were injured.
