As I flipped around the dial moments ago, I happened upon a live picture of the air quality in Salt Lake City. Horrors. It looked like summer in Los Angeles when I moved to Southern California in the mid-1960s. Shows what to expect in a Donald Trump world where air quality standards are rolled back. It also demonstrates the difference between a state ruled by Republicans and one generally ruled by Democrats. Los Angeles is much larger that Salt Lake City, but has managed to improve its air quality to a much greater extent.
