Stealing elections since 1864

Stealing elections since 1864, and proud of it, is the unwritten motto of the Republican Party. Abraham Lincoln was very unpopular in 1864 and the Republican Party made sure that he was re-elected by allowing the troops leave to vote during the war. Six months later the war was over and Lincoln was dead. History now looks favorably on the 1864 election, and the Republicans have stolen or attempted to steal close elections ever since (most recently in Ohio in 2012).

For the good of the country, it is essential in my opinion that the GOP and their policies be soundly rejected in 2016. The noise about Hillary’s emails will not elect Donald Trump, but it may help Republicans down ballot. We must reject Republicans at all levels so that obstruction and voter suppression are halted. Please be sure to vote on November 8, 2016.
