21st century slavery

When slaves speak out, their owners are upset. NFL owners are upset with Colin Kaepernick’s refusal to stand for the national anthem. Kaepernick and other athletes are well paid to risk life and limb in professional sports, but the majority of minorities are not adequately paid in an economy that amounts to wage slavery for many. And then there are the actual slaves laboring in our prisons and in foreign factories to produce low-cost goods for American consumers.
