NBA jersey ads

The NBA (National Basketball Association) owners have just voted to start placing ad patches on players’ jerseys starting in 2018. Supposedly to make the games more exciting, the patches are expected to generate $150+ million in additional revenue. Eventually I expect that baseball, football and hockey will follow suit. What should be required in a truth-in-advertising campaign is that our elected officials be required to wear patches designating their corporate sponsors. That I would support.
