Home field advantage

The Democratic race for the White House may be settled in New York. Both Bernie and Hillary are claiming it as home, but who has the home field advantage? Bernie was born and raised in Brooklyn. He then attended the University of Chicago. To my Midwestern ears, he sounds like a New Yorker.  Hillary was born in Illinois, went to school in the East and spent most of her adult live in Arkansas and then Washington, DC. Hillary moved to New York so that she could run for the US Senate in 2000. To me, she sounds Midwestern with a touch of the South. After 15 years of Hillary as a New Yorker, I believe that New Yorkers are more likely to think of Hillary as an outsider than native son, Bernie Sanders.
