Republican newspeak

The GOP have borrowed a page from the Ministry of Truth in 1984. In their version of newspeak, words mean what they say they mean at the time the words are used. Words no longer mean what you and I think they mean. Some examples:

War is peace.
Lies are truth.
Hunger is life.
Poverty is wealth.

If anyone challenges their use of newspeak, that person is a member of the liberal media. If anyone points out areas that need improvement in American life, that person hates America. If someone challenges laissez-faire capitalism, that person is a Marxist, communist, socialist, all three or worse. If anyone protests discrimination, that person is a racist or hates Christians. Up is down, inside is out, right is wrong and wrong is right. Give the GOP their due, they dissemble so well.

  1. You know I can criticize my children, that doesn’t mean I don’t like them. It means I want them to do better. This is my country born, raised and quite sure I will die here. If I don’t like something my first amendment right allows me to voice the feeling.
