Have you ever tried to drive a car after forgetting to release the emergency brake? I have. It was partly due to having two vehicles, one that released the brake automatically and one that didn’t. Driving with the brake set makes the car feel sluggish. The same is true of our economy with the GOP in Congress acting as a parking brake that the country forgot to release. Won’t it be great when we turn off the GOP obstruction and free the economy to return to health more quickly?
